Description
Commonly called orchid cacti, they are grown for their large spectacular flowers. Epiphyllums are extensively hybridized, blooming in all shades of red, pink, yellow, purple and orange but not blue. The flowers can be as small as 3 inches (10 cm) across, and as big as 15 inches (38cm) across. Each flower grows from the stem edge of the plants, flat, fleshy, broad leaf stems.
