Listen for the distinctive mew call of the Gray Catbird, or for its imitation of several species during a long, seemingly improvised series of notes. When the male is singing, look for him at the top of a dense, tangled thicket. Gray Catbirds will also often come to investigate if you make a "pishing" sound when they are in the area.

As a child I had a great love for our family photos; we didn't have many, but that made every one of them special. Coming from a family who had so little, a camera was out of the question. It wasn’t until my teenage years I got one, which sparked my love affair with photography! I got married, gave up photography, had wonderful children and got a divorce. A few years later I got remarried to a beautiful supportive man who encouraged me to pick up the camera again. So here I am... I have taken several on-line photography classes.
